After being a Deck boss on the East Coast for 15 Years, I can tell you that resumes don't mean much in the Industry. Pounding the docks is what does it. If you see a crewmember of a boat strugling to move a peice of gear, HELP HIM. Actions speak louder than words. Soon, you will get a reputation as a doer. Skippers talk.

so thay say but good luck getting posted if you dont pay i have posted that i am going to stop at nothing to get on a crab boat and well i think its silly to have to pay 50 or 60$ just to get posted.I have talked with different people and thay all agree why should we have to pay for a posting when all we want to do it get a job?
